Giulietta’s Diary: Musings of an Italian Beauty Part 1
I was sorry to say goodbye to the girls at Blanchardstown- nice party! Looking forward to seeing my new home.
First impressions? Nice leafy garden, pity about the house. All scalloped curtains and Habitat galvanised planters each side of the door- so 1980s!
He’s a bit of an Alfa petrol head, talks endlessly about Nuvolari Campari, Ferrari and racing at Monza. Quite harmless I suppose, but he’s doing my head in!
She’s much quieter, and quite pretty, for her age! (I was told to say that!!)
In the gate and I see a GT Bertoni glowering at me from the carport. “So you’re the new girl in town” he asks gruffly, “why aren’t you red? All Alfas are supposed to be red!” “Get a life Bertie” I mumbled under my breath – typical Italian male! Rumour has it he’ll be moving out- that carport looks good to me!
